“In Syria, coalition military forces conducted five strikes using fighter and remotely piloted aircraft. Separately in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 18 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using bomber, fighter, attack, and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets,” the release said.
In Syria, the Tuesday airstrikes hit targets near three locations, including Hasakah, Ayn Isa and Mara, and destroyed two ISIL fighting positions as well as struck five tactical units.
In Iraq, the airstrikes destroyed multiple tactical units, fighting positions, vehicles and bunkers.
Russia has also continued its air campaign against the ISIL in Syria. Moscow launched the campaign at the request of Syrian President Bashar Assad, on September 30, and has destroyed over 3,000 terrorist targets.
