Russia welcomes Britain’s intent on joining Russian efforts in the fight against ISIL.

LONDON (Sputnik) – Russia welcomes Britain’s intent on joining Russian efforts in the fight against the Islamic State, Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Alexander Yakovenko said Thursday.

“Russia likewise wouldn’t outsource her security to other nations. UK is welcome to join our effort,” Yakovenko said on his Twitter account addressing British Prime Minister David Cameron.

Earlier on Thursday, Cameron called on parliamentarians to support London’s air operations in Syria against the Islamic State.
