"Necessity has proved the mother of invention," according to London newspaper The Times with members of the so-called 'Death Squad' of the Kurdish militia having constructed two huge Improvised Explosive Device (IED) resistant trucks, "that look like they have been transplanted to northern Iraq from a Mad Max movie," reported The Times.

Iraqi Kurdish fighters, headed up by the 35-strong Heza Murdin, also known as the 'Death Squad' are on the offensive against Islamic State forces and traveling north to Sinjar on a route known to be littered with roadside explosives and suicide bombers.
In their mine-resistant tanks which have taken six months to build out of homemade armor accessorized with twin anti-tank guns, heavy machine guns and mattresses on the inside to cushion any blast, the 'Death Squad' are clearing the deadly path up to Sinjar for the rest of the Peshmerga forces to follow on up.
Armed and ready to sustain any impact from ISIL, the Kurdish militia are making the best of the resources in their possession, as they convert farm machines and trucks into unbelievable 'Mad Max' style machines.
