"I'm watching with attention and a great concern the actions of our country and the alarming events that are taking place on the Syrian border," Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the leader of the Turkish Republican People's Party, said on his Twitter account.

"Russia is a very important country for Turkey in terms of cooperation, especially in tourism, trade and industry. We need common sense," Former Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertugrul Gunay shared his thoughts.

"The incident with the Russian plane is a mistake that our country made in its foreign policy," famous journalist and anchor of the Turkish version of Fox TV Ismail Kucukkaya said.
His colleague Fatih Portakal was angry at the US government:

On Tuesday, a Russian Sukhoi Su-24 bomber crashed on Syrian territory four kilometers from the Turkish border. The aircraft was shot down by a Turkish F-16 jet. One Russian pilot was killed, the other was rescued.
