MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Earlier in the day, the Russian Basketball Federation received a letter from the FIBA informing on sanctions lifting.
"[We] would like to stress, that we will attentively watch over RBF activities as part of our basketball family and we are hoping that your activities will further comply with regulations of public organization, as well as with major rules of the FIBA and its internal organization," the FIBA said in a letter published on the RBF website.
On July 29, the FIBA disqualified the RBF claiming that the federation’s authorities failed to resolve long-standing internal problems.
