MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Ukraine Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said Friday he supported a compromise in a recent energy row with Russia which envisions resumption of electricity supplies to Crimea and unblocking of coal deliveries from Donbas.
"It was hard to foresee the current situation when we are not receiving coal for seven days, but we will tackle this," Demchyshyn told reporters.
"Of course it is possible to do it [unblock coal supplies from Donbas] — we must simply resume electricity deliveries to Crimea," the minister stressed.
