NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — The international community must unite in the fight against the Islamic State militant group, the French ambassador to India told Sputnik on Saturday.
"ISIS [IS] has declared war on France but [its] goals are much broader than that. We should unite international community and fight ISIS until it is decimated," Francois Richier said.
On November 13, a series of terrorist attacks were carried out at various locations in the French capital, leading to the death of at least 130 people and injuring over 350 others. Islamic State radicals claimed responsibility for the attacks.
French President Francois Hollande and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin agreed to coordinate their anti-terrorism efforts on Thursday, during the French leader’s visit to Moscow.
