MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The alleged "religious extremists" were apprehended early morning and transferred to a center investigating terrorist crimes, in the nation’s capital Tunis, Jawhara FM radio station said. They reportedly originate from the city of Kairouan in northern Tunisia.
On Tuesday, a bomb explosion hit a bus carrying elite presidential guards in Tunis, killing at least 13 people and injuring 20. The Islamic State militant group claimed responsibility for the attack.
