MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to The Canberra Times newspaper, more than 6,000 people are participating in the rally outside the city’s Parliament House, demanding action on climate change.
Paris will host the 21st UN Climate Change Conference from November 30 to December 11. The conference aims to reach a legally binding agreement on climate change.
Hundreds of thousands of people from 150 countries around the world will rally on Sunday on the issue of climate change.
The participants of more than 2,300 planned protests are urging for nations to commit to 100-percent clean energy by 2050 and to finance the poorest countries to deal with climate impacts, according to the Global Climate March.
