Belgium Probing Breach at Military Compound Amid High Terror Threat
19:33 GMT 30.11.2015 (Updated: 20:13 GMT 30.11.2015) The Belgian military is investigating a perimeter breach at a military compound in the central Flemish town of Heverlee after it was evacuated on Monday following a bomb scare, local media reported.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Belgium’s Defense Ministry said that a "small amount of inflammable materials and a black bag were found close to several military vehicles," after a hole was discovered in the fence, according to La Derniere Heure newspaper.

The barracks and surrounding security area were evacuated while the military combed the area for explosives. "No explosive materials were discovered," the ministry said.
Belgium's terrorism threat level was raised to its second highest grade following a string of attacks in Paris that killed 130 people. Some of the suspects in the Paris attacks had lived in Brussels.
Last month, a gunman drove his car through the gates of an army barracks compound near the Belgian city of Namur. The attacker fled the scene and was later found in a nearby house. Belgian police said they did not consider the attack to be an act of terrorism.
