The governor’s office said about 100,000 houses were left without power as a result of freezing rain, ice and sleet.

Fallin’s decision will enable state agencies to make disaster relief purchases and will pave the way for the federal resources.
The state of emergency lasts for 30 days in compliance with the executive order.
