Lavrov, Mogherini Agree to Pursue Syrian Civil War Political Solution

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and EU High Representative Federica Mogherini discussed in Belgrade the conflict in Syria focusing on the fight against terrorism and future political settlement of the crisis, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

“During their conversation, several issues of Russian-EU relations, the situation around Libya, as well as the conflict in Syria were discussed with a focus on the fight against terrorism in [Syria] and the future of political settlement,” the statement reads.
