BELGRADE (Sputnik) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed on Thursday his intention to visit Rome on December 11, but said the timeline of his stay in the Italian capital was subject to change.
"I am planning to come, but I am not sure about the concrete timeline as some 'friends' could destroy my plans," Lavrov said at a meeting with Italy's Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council conference in Belgrade.
An international conference on the situation in the Mediterranean has been scheduled for December 11-12 in Rome.
