MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the poll, the attitude of 58 percent of those survey has worsened over the downing of the Russian Su-24, while 15 percent said that their position toward Turkey has "rather changed for the worse."
Over 90 percent of respondents said that they did not plan to travel to Turkey on vacation.
Both the Russian General Staff and the Syrian Air Defense Command have confirmed that the Su-24 never crossed into Turkish airspace and was illegally downed on Syrian territory.
As Anakra refused to apologize for the incident and stated it had the right to respond to what it saw as airspace violations, Russia moved to introduce a set of economic measures against Turkey.
In particular, Russia has banned the import of some products from Turkey, including poultry offal as well as certain fruit and vegetables, effective from January 2016.
