WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The baby child of the suspects in Wednesday’s San Bernardino mass shooting is currently with Child Protective Services and will likely stay there until Monday, attorneys for the alleged gunmen Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik said during a press conference.
"It’s in Child Protective Services from what we understand," family attorney David Chesley stated on Friday. "We’ve been trying to get the baby back, but it looks like we’re probably not going to be able to get the baby out until at least Monday."
Attorney Mohammad Abuershaid added that after they schedule a hearing regarding the custody of the child, the authorities would get the baby to a family member, likely Farook’s older sister.
