MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the statement, self-propelled howitzers Msta-S, Akatsiya, Gvozdika and multiple launch rocket systems Grad-M, Uragan, Tornado-G were used in the combat training drills.
"In general the missile forces and artillery units of the Southern Military District held more than 180 tactical exercises of different scale, about 50 training sessions on directing missile strikes and artillery fire control exercises," the press service said.
The Southern Military District noted that missile force and artillery unit combat training has increased by 20 percent compared to the previous year.
