MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Wednesday, the Saudi-led coalition conducted airstrikes near the MSF clinic in Yemen. According to reports, nine people were injured.
"Foreign military attacks on residential areas and civilian targets in Yemen have killed thousands of people of the country so far and the aggressors have gained no achievement other than destruction and massacre of people," Ansari was quoted as saying by the Iranian Fars News Agency.
Yemen has been engulfed in a military conflict between the government and Shiite Houthi rebels, the country’s main opposition faction which forced the Yemeni government to resign in January. The Houthis are supported by army units loyal to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Since March, a Saudi-led coalition has been carrying out airstrikes against Houthi positions at the request of Yemen’s President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
