MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Fifteen citizens were killed and some 130 injured in a series of suicide attacks carried out by four suicide bombers on Lake Chad's Koulfoua island in the African country of Chad, local media reported.
The provisional death toll stands at 19, including the four attackers, Chad's state television channel Tele Tchad said on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, media reports citing Chad’s security sources said the death toll in the attack was at around 30. According to the reports, security sources blamed the attack on the Boko Haram Islamist militant group.
