“In Syria, coalition military forces conducted nine strikes using attack, fighter, and remotely piloted aircraft,” the Central Command said. “Separately in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 11 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq.”
The Sunday airstrikes in Syria eliminated four Daesh tactical units, nine fighting positions, three vehicles, and an artillery piece. Similarly in Iraq, airstrikes destroyed 12 fighting positions, five tactical units, 12 buildings, six heavy machine guns, and three staging areas.
Meanwhile, Moscow has also continued its air campaign in Syria against Daesh, a group banned on the territory of Russia. The campaign was launched on September 30 at the request of the Syrian government, and has destroyed more than 3,000 terrorist targets.
