MOSCOW (Sputnik) — WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is set to speak at a media conference organized by the global news network RT on December 10.
Assange, who has been residing in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for over three years after he blew the whistle on US war crimes, will speak on the problem of balancing anti-terror security and privacy in the digital age, via video-link.
Assange’s weekly interview show, aired on RT from April through July 2012, won a silver medal in the political documentary/information program category at the 2013 New York Festivals.
The RT conference on media and politics is being organized to mark the 10-year anniversary of the first time the channel went on air, on December 10, 2005. It will focus on information and politics as the powers that shape the world today.
