ROME (Sputnik) – The film originally aired in Russia in April. The documentary, titled "The President," is based on an interview by Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov with Putin and focuses on landmark events in Russia's modern history over the past 15 years.
The Italian version of the film was aired on the Rete 4 channel. It was prepared by the Mediaset group which was founded by former President Silvio Berlusconi.
"We believe that currently Putin is the most influential world leader, the bravest and the most decisive in the fight against terrorism," Mediaset ‘s chairman Fedele Confalonieri said about the film, as quoted by Il Giornale newspaper.
On December 13, the film will also be shown on the Tgcom24 channel.
