WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US citizens should exercise caution and stay clear of crowds amid planned protests in Paris of the four main train conductors’ unions, the US Embassy in France said in a security message on Wednesday.
"Avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations," the security message stated.
The US Embassy noted that large events planned as peaceful demonstrations may turn confrontational.
"Demonstrations in one city have the potential to lead to additional public rallies or demonstrations in other locations around the city and country," it said.
The US Embassy also urged Americans in France to bolster personal security and monitor social media to stay informed.
