On Sunday afternoon police in Wisconsin shot and killed a man who was allegedly being held hostage at a motorcycle shop -- he just so happened to be suing the city, their police, and the sheriff’s department for $50 million.

Following a standoff at Eagle Nation Cycles in Neenah, Wisconsin, 60-year-old Vietnam War veteran Michael Funk was shot and killed by police after he was permitted to leave the building after allegedly being held hostage there.

Notably, Funk was in the midst of a $50 million lawsuit against those same police over a previous drug raid at the motorcycle shop, in which he was charged with 26 felonies that were all later dropped, other than a misdemeanor charge for marijuana. The hostage taker was arrested.

Coincidence? We think not.
