MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Defense Ministry believes its priorities in 2016 should be directed at the country's western, southwestern, and Arctic regions, Russian Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoigu said Friday.
"In 2016, the Defense Ministry needs to decide a number of priority tasks…First of all, to continue expanding our military might of the Armed Forces and take measures in consolidating our troop groupings in the western, southwestern, and Arctic strategic regions," Shoigu said during a Defense Ministry meeting.
