The foreign secretary added that the United Kingdom would continue to actively participate in the resolution of the Syrian conflict.
Earlier on Friday, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said that the Riyadh meeting had been productive and its results exceeded expectations.
The three-day conference aimed at unifying Syrian opposition parties' stances ahead of the next round of Syrian peace talks with international mediators concluded in Riyadh on Thursday. The next international talks are scheduled for the beginning of 2016.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with the army loyal to President Bashar Assad fighting several opposition factions and militant groups, including the Nusra Front and Daesh, also known as ISIL/The Islamic State, a group outlawed in Russia and many other countries.
