WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Congress passed a short term funding measure to bankroll itself until Wednesday at midnight, according to media reports on Friday.
Congressmen passed the bill to create a short-term financing strategy for the US government, CBS News reported.
Previously, the US Senate approved the measure and President Barack Obama is expected to sign the bill into law.
On Thursday, US House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters he was not concerned about the deadline for the large 2016 funding omnibus measure, but only that US legislators got it right, in an effort to provide an alternative to Obama’s agenda.
