MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The prime minister expressed confidence there were many areas in which Russia and China could establish a productive dialogue.
“We are currently completing the preparation of a detailed plan of events, which includes over 100 joint projects,” Medvedev said, as quoted by the People's Daily newspaper.
According to the prime minister, the plan includes shooting films, television series and documentaries, as well as translation and publication of books and holding book exhibitions.
“There are great prospects for cooperation in the sphere of new media, which is the future of global mass media,” Medvedev added.
China is the leading economic partner of Russia. Currently, the two countries are actively cooperating in a multitude of fields, most notably on energy, infrastructure, finance and defense. Beijing will host the opening ceremony of Russian and Chinese media years (2016-2017) this month.
