BERLIN (Sputnik) — According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s latest data, the blaze claimed the lives of 23 and injured the same number of people.
"Putin conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery to those who suffered as a result of this tragic event," Peskov told reporters.
The president was informed of the situation by Voronezh Region Governor Alexey Gordeyev, Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, the spokesman added.
Putin is also aware the investigation has been launched to identify the perpetrators of the tragedy, Peskov concluded.
