Syrian warplanes launched airstrikes against Daesh strongholds in the villages of Ein al-Jamajmeh, Eisheh, Nejarah, Sarhan and Jeb al-Qahwa. The Syrian Air Force also hit al-Nusra Front targets in the villages of al-Mansourah and al-Misherfeh, located in the area, which the media outlet recently described as the terrorist lifeline to Turkey.
The SAA carried out counterterrorism operations in several neighborhoods of the provincial capital, including al-Sheikh Lutfi, al-Ramouseh, Salah Eddin, al-Rashidin, al-Fardous and al-Salehin.
Damascus-led forces continued their operation to liberate the Homs province, including the world-famous ancient city of Palmyra. The Syrian army destroyed several Daesh strongholds and military equipment in Mhein and al-Qaryatain.
Daesh fighters are reported to have suffered heavy losses in airstrikes that hit their hideouts near the al-Hayal mountain and the town of Khneifis, located approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) south of Palmyra.
Damascus-led forces killed an unspecified number of terrorists and destroyed command centers, militant strongholds, ammunition depots and military hardware in the provinces of Latakia, Hama, Idlib, Daraa and as-Suwayda.
The SAA is said to have eliminated the leader of the Liwaa al-Nassr group in Latakia and a senir rebel commander in Hama.
