UAE Court Sentences Foreigner to 10 Years in Prison for Espionage
23:28 GMT 14.12.2015 (Updated: 00:18 GMT 15.12.2015) The UAE Federal Supreme Court has sentenced a native of one of the Asian countries to ten years in jail and imposed a fine of 500,000 dirhams ($136,000) on him for disclosing information about his place of work to another state, a court’s ruling circulating in the media said Monday.

DUBAI (Sputnik) – The court has reportedly considered that by such actions the convicted inflicted damage to the national interests of the United Arab Emirates.
The person’s nationality is not disclosed so far.
After serving his prison sentence in the United Arab Emirates, the individual is subject to deportation from the Arab country.
