Kenya's capital, Nairobi, is currently hosting the World Trade Organization's (WTO) four-day 10th Ministerial Conference (MC10) with the participation of economy ministers from over 160 states. The summit aims to define the course of multilateral trade relations for the coming years.
"The ministers will discuss issues of economic cooperation and trade between the two countries," Elena Lashkina told reporters.
On Wednesday, Ulyukayev will also hold a bilateral meeting with the WTO Director General, Roberto Azevedo, and will participate in the meeting of Ministers of Economy and Trade of the BRICS, an economic bloc comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
Ulyukayev is expected to meet in Nairobi with his counterparts from Laos, the Netherlands, Finland and Kazakhstan later this week.
