ZHENGZHOU (Sputnik) — The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) should boost cooperation on security and stability issues amid the emerging geopolitical crisis and the growth of terrorist groups, Chinese Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang said Tuesday.
"I propose to boost cooperation in the field of security and stability… We need to use the SCO to build strong and impenetrable walls of cooperation and security, leaving no loopholes for violators of the regional and social stability," Li said, speaking at an expanded meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government.
The SCO is a Eurasian political, economic and military alliance comprising six member states, namely Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as several observer states and dialogue partners.
