TASHKENT (Sputnik) – On December 15-16, a forum entitled, "Ensuring stability, sustainable development and national security in the context of globalization" was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
"The development of information technologies, with their ease of access, relatively low cost and other advantages, opened up new frontiers for terrorism and led to the emergence of its new form — cyberterrorism," Zhakhanov said at the forum.
Terrorist affiliates operating in Central Asia, are devoting more and more attention to the recruitment of new members, particularly young people, and spreading its radical ideology over the internet, he added.
