"It is quite hard to give a definite answer to what US missile defense will be like by 2025. At the same time, analyzing their European Phased Adaptive Approach, set to be implemented by 2020, one can state that it surpasses all previous projects with its scope and strategic consequences," Karakayev said.
The US missile defense systems currently deployed are incapable of withstanding the synchronized use of Russia’s Strategic Missile Forces’ groupings, Missile Force Commander said.
“Expert assessments show that the missile defense system deployed today is incapable of withstanding the synchronized use of Russia’s Strategic Missile Forces’ groupings both in its information and fire capabilities,” Karakayev said during a press conference.
Russian Strategic Missile Forces will conduct 16 long-range missile tests in 2016, Sergei Karakayev said.
“Next year it’s planned to conduct 16 launches, of which two will have the goal of extending the terms of exploitation [of the missile complexes], and 14 test launches for the experimental development of missile complexes, combat equipping of strategic missiles and within the framework of training Russia’s Armed Forces,” Karakayev said at a press conference.
