MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry held a phone conversation on the Syrian crisis Thursday, Russia's Foreign Ministry said.
In continuation of their recent meeting in Moscow, the two politicians discussed Syrian settlement efforts and the upcoming meeting of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG), set to be held in New York on December 18, the ministry said in a statement.
"The need to maintain consensus within the ISSG was noted," the statement reads.
