MOSCOW (Sputnik) — All top executives of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) have resigned in light of accusations of covering up doping by Russia's leading athletes, the Sports Ministry said Thursday.
"The meeting of RUSADA founders has accepted resignation of [director general Ramil] Khabriev. [Acting director Nikita] Kamaev, [deputy general director Igor] Zagorsky, the entire top management have all resigned," Nataliya Zhelanova, adviser to Russia's sports minister, said.
On November 18, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) suspended RUSADA and its anti-doping lab after a report of a WADA independent commission found evidence of large-scale doping corruption in Russian athletics.
