MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia outstripped Saudi Arabia in terms of oil production in October, Russia's statistics agency Rosstat revealed Thursday.
In October, oil production in Russia was estimated at 10.359 million barrels per day, while in Saudi Arabia it totaled 10.125 million barrels per day. In September, on the other hand, Saudi Arabia outpaced Russia, producing on average 10.255 million barrels of oil per day.
According to Rosstat, export of oil from Russia in January-October increased by 7.6 percent compared to the same period in 2014.
Between January and October, oil exports from Russia accounted for 26.6 percent of all Russian exports and for 41.5 percent of energy products exports, almost 5 percent and 4 percent lower than figures for the same period in 2014.
