"Thanks to the efforts taken by the Russian side, including the assistance by the Chechen leadership, seven crew members of the Russian tanker Mekhanik Chebotarev, detained in Libya on September 16, have returned home," the ministry said in a statement.
"The return of the remaining three crew members, including the captain, will be coordinated with the Libyan authorities separately," the statement said.
On September 16, forces loyal to the Tripoli-based Libyan government, which is not recognized internationally, seized the Russian oil tanker Mekhanik Chebotarev and detained 12 Russian crew members on suspicion of oil contraband when the ship was en route to the northwestern Libyan port of Zuwarah.
Two of the crew members were released in October.
