WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US-led coalition against the Islamic State, also known as Daesh, is not running out of munitions used to fight the terror group, Operation Inherent Resolve spokesman Col. Steve Warren said on Friday.
"We have no concern whatsoever about stockpile of munitions," Warren stated. "We have enough munitions to conduct all the operations we need to conduct, as well as maintain a contingency stockade."
The US-led coalition of 65 nations has been carrying out airstrikes against the Islamic State in Iraq since August 2014 and in Syria since September 2014, but without the approval of the Syrian government or the UN Security Council.
The Islamic State, also known as Daesh, is a terrorist group outlawed in many countries around the world, including in Russia.
