A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Chile, the US Geological Survey said Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The quake was registered at 4:25 p.m. local time (19:25 GMT).

The epicenter was located about 16 kilometers (9.9 miles) southwest of the Chile city of Ovalle at the depth of 46.4 kilometers.

There are currently no reports of damage or victims from the earthquake.
