Reports that the device found on the Air France flight is a bomb are a "false alarm", the СEO of the French air carrier announced.
Earlier on Sunday, Kenya Airports Authority deleted words "bomb" and "explosives" from the report on the device found aboard the Air France plane, which was checked for explosives by local experts.
"Kenyan bomb experts discover a bomb inside Air France at Moi International Airport, Mombasa. The explosive was carried away to a safe place outside the airport," Kenya airport officials said via Facebook.

At least one passenger has been detained by Kenyan authorities, a local television broadcaster NTV said citing an anonymous source.
Earlier it was reported that six of the passengers including the man who made the discovery were being questioned by the Kenyan police, according to police officials.
“The Kenyan security is zeroing in on two passengers who appear suspicious,” according to the Kenya airport statement.
