MADRID (Sputnik) – The Spanish conservatives gained from 114 to 118 seats in the parliament.
The Socialist Workers' Party ranked second with 81-85 mandates, whereas the left-wing Podemos garnered 76-80 seats.
The Ciudadanos (translated as Citizens) center-left movement took 47-50 seats.
The exit poll was conducted by the TNS Demoscopia public opinion research center, whose data was broadcast by the Spanish state television TVE. The pollster interviewed 177,000 people at the 1265 polling stations across the country.
