Novoye Chaplino, a village in Russia’s Chukotka Autonomous Area in the country’s far northeast, became Santa’s first stop during his annual present delivery run, according to the NORAD Tracks Santa program.

NORAD Tracks Santa is an annual Christmas-themed event held under the auspices of the North American Aerospace Defense Command since 1955. Each year on Christmas Eve the program track's Santa’s progress as he departs from his residence at the North Pole and delivers presents to children across the globe.
