20:08 GMT 25.12.2015 (Updated: 20:21 GMT 25.12.2015) A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit northern Afghanistan on Friday near the border with Tajikistan and Pakistan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The quake occurred at a depth of 200 kilometers (some 124 miles) at 23:44 local time (19:14 GMT) about 90 kilometers southeast of Fayzabad in Afghanistan and some 39 kilometers of Ishqoshim in Tajikistan.
There were no immediate reports of destruction or casualties so far, according to EMSC.
