MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Palestinians killed since October include at least 26 children, the ministry of health said on its official Facebook page. The latest four Palestinian victims were killed in separate attacks on Thursday.
The decades-long conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis has recently seen increased tensions, with dozens of mutual attacks having taken place since early September.
Palestinians seek diplomatic and economic recognition for their independent state on the territories of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, partially occupied by Israel, and the Gaza Strip. Israel has been building settlements on the occupied territories, despite objections from the United Nations.
