MEXICO CITY (Sputnik) – The head-on collision occurred on Friday morning in Challa Grande, about 109 kilometers (68 miles) from Cochabamba, according to local transit authorities.
The truck, carrying passengers and cargo, overturned and was then hit by a bus approaching along an opposite lane. The bus then crashed into a cliff. The drivers of both vehicles were reportedly injured.
Earlier this month, at least six people died and 18 were injured after a minibus in Bolivia plunged 150 meters (nearly 500 feet) off a remote mountainside road.
