Xiaobing Chang, former chairman of China Unicom and current chair of China Telecom, is being suspected of "severe disciplinary violations," Xinhua news agency reported, citing a CCDI statement.
China Unicom and China Telecom are two of China's top three communication giants.
After assuming office in 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping launched a large-scale campaign against corruption, targeting primarily high-level officials in the Communist Party, the armed forces and state-run enterprises.
