MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the media, it enabled the country to create 8,264 classes being attended by 196,000 of students.
The newspaper added, citing local DPhV grammar-school teachers' union, that at least 20,000 new teachers are needed to provide all the refugee children arriving in the country with education.
According to German education authorities, some 325,000 of school-age children arrived in the country in 2015.
Europe is currently struggling to cope with a massive refugee influx, with hundreds of thousands of refugees and migrants fleeing conflict-torn countries of the Middle East and North Africa in search of safety and refuge in Europe. Many of them strive to get to wealthier EU states, such as Germany, for the sake of social benefits, free education, and good quality medical services.
