MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Since Saturday, a tornado warning has been declared in at least 10 US states. Some of the states have also issued a flash flooding warning.
Six people in Missouri, as well as five US citizens in Illinois died due to severe floods, the ABC News channel said Sunday.
The storms also claimed the lives of 19 people across the states of Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Arkansas, the broadcaster added.
Earlier, media reported that at least 11 people died in tornadoes and accompanying severe weather conditions in northern Texas.
According to the channel, some 6,000 homes lost power due to poor weather.
