MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin in a holiday greeting to US President Barack Obama said that Russia and the United States are one of the key factors in providing international security, the Kremlin’s press service said Wednesday.

“This year confirmed that relations between Russia and the United States are one of the key factors in providing international security,” the Kremlin’s press service said, citing Putin’s holiday greeting.

“The head of the Russian state expressed his certainty as well that in organizing constructive dialogue and cooperation with each other’s interests, Russia and the United States could effectively counter new challenges and threats, and could cooperate in settling crises in various regions,” the press service continued.
